This will help you control your portions. You can be polite and have a small portion of a dessert. Obesity can kill. Obesity kills almost as many people every year as smoking.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So what are some healthy options if you are a soda drinker?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Herbal Tea&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Water&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Diet Soft Drinks&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;Some people are worried about the artificial sweetners in soft drinks. Yes, there are studies that say that artificial sweetners &lt;em&gt;maybe &lt;/em&gt;linked to causes of cancer but, it's not certain. Sugar &lt;em&gt;has been&amp;nbsp; proven&lt;/em&gt; to cause fattening and insulin resistance, which&amp;nbsp;increases risk&amp;nbsp;of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke&amp;nbsp;and cancer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So put down the soft drink and do your body a favor!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Physician for Living.
